iProfile has announced the appointment of Karl Gregory as marketing director, as part of its drive to widen its presence in the UK and offer an online dynamic profile for professionals.

MrGregory has substantial experience in fast-growing internet companies, previously working as head of marketing for Yahoo! Search, UK and Ireland, as well as holding senior marketing positions with TouchLocal, MindShare and AltaVista.

The iProfile allows job seekers to set up and update their CV online and is fast becoming an industry standard, being implemented by numerous UK recruiters including Hays IT, Reed, Spring and Alexander Mann.

Commenting on the issue, Mr Gregory said: "iProfile has already made huge in-roads in the career and CV management space but there is still an enormous potential for business growth.

"This makes it a very exciting company to be working for as people are changing the way they think about CVs."

He added that he was looking to "maximising the potential" for iProfile.
