Project Manager for Decommissioning - Mid-size international E&P company - Aberdeen
This is a significant opportunity to shape projects and to make your own mark within a prestigious E&P company as a Project Manager for Decommissioning. The Project Manager's initial duty will be to prepare the business and project team for decommissioning, he/she will be responsible for liaising with project stakeholders and driving projects forward as appropriate.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a successful track record of major projects experience;
- Be experienced at establishing stakeholder relationships;
- Be proficient in managing a multi-work stream and leading a project team of staff and contractors;
- Be able to manage project costs and schedule;
- Have experience in liaising with other internal departments;
- Be able to manage FEED studies and project deadlines,
- Have a technical engineering background.
Experience
The appointee will be a highly competent project manager. He/she will have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. He/she will perform well under pressure and drive projects forward to increase the company's competence in the decommissioning area. He/she will also mentor and coach other members of the project team and will be adept at building stakeholder and third party relationships in order to ensure the smooth running of decommissioning projects.
